Privacy Policy
At Menvo, transparency and personal data protection are core principles of our voluntary mentorship community.
Information Collection
We collect information necessary to connect mentors and mentees, such as name, email, professional bio, fields of expertise, and scheduling availability voluntarily provided during registration.
Use of Data
Collected data is used exclusively to facilitate mentorship sessions, personalize recommendations, send transactional notices, and enhance community experience.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. Mentor profiles are public. Mentee profiles only appear on the mentee board when the person turns on “Public profile”, and even then they are visible only to signed-in mentors and administrators. On the board and on the mentee page we show name, photo, job title, bio, goals, areas of interest and the links you added (LinkedIn, GitHub, portfolio and résumé). Email, phone number and form answers are never shown to other users. You can turn visibility off at any time in your profile.
Email Communications
We send transactional emails related to appointments, confirmations, cancellations, reminders, and feedback requests via Brevo. You can manage your preferences at any time.
Profile Pictures
Photos uploaded to profiles are securely stored in Supabase Storage and used strictly for visual identification in sessions and public catalog.
Storage & Security
We apply industry-standard security practices, encryption in transit and at rest, strict Row Level Security (RLS) policies, and secure cloud infrastructure to protect your data.
Google Calendar and Google Meet Integration
When connecting or booking a mentorship with Google Calendar integration, Menvo accesses Google APIs exclusively to create calendar events with Google Meet video links and verify schedule conflicts for selected time slots. Menvo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not read, store, or share unrelated personal calendar entries.
Session Confidentiality
Conversations during mentorship sessions remain strictly confidential between mentor and mentee. Menvo does not record calls or monitor the contents of video meetings.
Third-Party Services
We partner with trusted authentication and infrastructure providers including Supabase, Vercel, Brevo, and Google Cloud APIs, compliant with international data protection regulations and LGPD.
Estágio Recife database
Menvo started as an extension of Estágio Recife. Because of that, part of our mentee base comes from the Estágio Recife form: name, e-mail, and the answers given in that form. We use this data, based on our legitimate interest (Brazil's LGPD, art. 7, IX), only to send an initial invitation to get to know Menvo and complete their profile. Anyone who receives that invitation can, without logging in, ask to stop receiving e-mails or permanently delete their data and profile - the e-mail's reply link goes straight to that option.
How long we keep your data
We keep your data while your account is active or while it's needed for the purpose it was collected for. If your data came from a partner initiative, such as Estágio Recife, and you never access the account, it will be automatically deleted 90 days after the first invitation, with e-mail warnings 30 days and 1 day before deletion. If you asked to stop receiving e-mails, we won't send those warnings, and the deletion happens on the same timeline. After deletion, we keep only an anonymous record (a cryptographic fingerprint of the e-mail, which can't identify you) to prove the request was fulfilled and to avoid contacting you again (LGPD, arts. 15, 16, and 18).
Your Privacy Rights
You have the right to access, correct, update, or request permanent deletion of your personal data at any time via your account settings or by reaching out to our support team.
